After an engaging in several science lessons on solids, liquids, and gases, the students celebrated their hard work by making and enjoying homemade ice cream. As they shook the ingredients in bags of ice and salt, they observed the science in action—watching the liquid transform into a delicious frozen treat. The hands-on activity reinforced their understanding of phase changes while rewarding their efforts with a sweet and satisfying dessert. Learning had never tasted so good!

The 6th-grade class had an exciting semester harvesting fresh, crisp lettuce from their tower garden. After weeks of nurturing the plants, the students picked the vibrant greens and prepared them for all to enjoy. Their hard work paid off as the lettuce was delivered to the school cafeteria, where it was incorporated into healthy lunches for the students to enjoy.

It's that time of year!! We have dusted off the speed stacks and have begun our unit in elementary. Students will be participating in helping set the World Record of "most people stacking in multiple locations on the same day" (Nov 13/14). Students also have the opportunity to purchase their own sets. Flyers have been sent home with each grade level. Contact Mrs. Wright for more information!
