📣 It’s that time of year again—School & Sports Physicals!

All children should have regular Well Child Checks for ongoing health and development. School, sports and camp physical forms can be completed during a Well Child Check in the clinic, making it easy to take care of both required exams and routine care at the same visit.

👩👦Who needs a physical:
• Students entering Kindergarten
• Students entering 7th grade
• Students entering 8th–12th grade who plan to participate in sports
• Children and teens attending camps that require a physical

📌 Important details:

🎒 Kindergarten Physicals
Required for students entering Kindergarten (2026–2027 school year). These have already begun—call to schedule a Well Child Check, and we will complete all required forms at your visit.

🏫 7th Grade Physicals
Required for students entering 7th grade (2026–2027 school year). These can be scheduled starting May 1st. We will complete both school and sports physical forms if needed.

🏅 8th–12th Grade Sports Physicals
Required for students entering 8th–12th grade who plan to participate in school related sports. These can begin after May 1st. (Sports physicals will not be completed at schools this year.)

🏕️ Camp Physicals
Many camps require a physical prior to attendance. Schedule a Well Child Check and bring any required camp forms—we’ll complete everything during your visit.

💡 Most insurance plans, including Medicaid, cover one Well Child Check per calendar year. Please check with your insurance provider for details.

The plant science class is still looking for more items to help update the Outdoor Classroom! We would love more mulch, sand and some exterior stain! Thank you to Pheasants Forever and Amber Kucera for donating so far! Everything helps in making the outdoor learning space even better!

Our 3rd grade and Kindergarten classes buddied up and took turns reading to each other, every other week, this school year. It’s been a wonderful way to support literacy while helping students become more comfortable and socially connected with both older and younger peers.

Reminder of the Athletics / Activities Banquet this evening. This is to honor all 9-12 students who have competed in any sports program or the following : speech, one act, cheer/dance. Root beer floats will be available to enjoy courtesy of the Booster Club. Family, friend and community welcome. Throwback uniforms available for purchase as well.

Yesterday morning, during Bobcat Pride, our 6th-grade students had the opportunity to share their marble mazes with younger elementary classes! It was great to see our older students take on leadership roles as they explained their designs and demonstrated how their mazes worked.

Through this project, students learned about problem-solving, planning, and basic physics concepts like force and motion—all while practicing communication and teamwork. We’re proud of the creativity and leadership shown by our 6th graders! #bhleads

Yesterday, the junior high track team traveled to Wilcox to compete. It was a chilly day, but they ended up with 18 PRs and some top 6 finishes!

This morning, we held our National Honor Society induction ceremony and welcomed five new members into NHS: • Addison Spencer • Sienna Mlady • Kaden L’Heureux • Anna Mead • Presleann Kerr These students have demonstrated excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, and character, and we are excited to see the positive impact they will continue to make in our school and community. We were also honored to hear from NHS alumnus Lance Atwater, who shared valuable insights on leadership and his current role. Thank you for taking the time to inspire our students and staff. A special thank you to the parents and families who joined us this morning to celebrate this important milestone. We also appreciate Mrs. Olson for her leadership as NHS sponsor, along with our current and new members for making the induction ceremony a meaningful and memorable event. Congratulations to our newest National Honor Society members! #bhleads

The 39th Annual Cyndi Peil Memorial Golf Scramble did not disappoint! The Peil family goes above and beyond to make this day a one-of-a-kind experience for the kids. It is easily the highlight of our season.
