Dear Parents of Future Kindergartners,
Kindergarten is an exciting time for your child! It’s the beginning of a journey of learning, friendship, and fun. We are excited to offer you a Kindergarten Round-Up, to be held Friday, February 18, 2022, at 9:30 A.M. in the Blue Hill Elementary Gymnasium.
Children who will be five years of age on or before July 31, 2022, are eligible to attend kindergarten. Children who turn five on or after August 1, 2022, and on or before October 15, 2022, may also be considered for early entrance to kindergarten if a written request from a parent is submitted to the superintendent by April 15, 2022. Children who are kindergarten eligible are no longer eligible for public preschool.
Kindergarten Round-Up will be a time for you and your child to meet our kindergarten teacher. Students will do activities in the kindergarten room while parents separately receive information and have the opportunity to ask questions about school and expectations. This will also be a good time for the teacher to assess your child’s kindergarten readiness.
We ask that younger siblings do not attend the Round-Up as this is a special day for the new kindergarten student. Activities for the morning will conclude with a free lunch for the children and the parents in the school cafeteria from 10:40 AM - 11:10 AM.
