school building

Tonight the SHDHD Risk Dial has moved to "severe" risk (red). As we have said before, this doesn't necessarily change the school's plan, and no immediate changes are required. The Health Department's Risk Dial is one tool to describe what is happening in the health district's four-county area. Blue Hill Schools will continue to operate under "Yellow" in our plan with required face coverings. The director of the Health Department has stated that school is the safest place for kids, and it is best for the community to have schools open. Our next step would be "Orange" on our plan, and that would mean adding temperature checks to start the day and a closed campus for high school students at lunch. The "Red" on the school's return to learning plan would mean returning to remote learning.
