Mrs Bonifas

Our Staff Spotlight for today is Mrs. Bonifas. She is a valuable member of the Bobcat staff who is an innovator in Ag education and leads a strong FFA program here at Blue Hill.

"I teach Agriculture Education, 7-12. I am the FFA Sponsor, and this will be my 27th year of teaching, all at Blue Hill! I grew up south of Aurora, NE and graduated from Aurora High School in 1994. I attended The University of Nebraska at Lincoln and double majored in Agriculture Education and Biology. I started my career in Blue Hill as the Ag teacher and FFA sponsor in 2000. In 2004, I married my wonderful husband, Troy Bonifas and moved to an acreage west of town. We have two amazing kids; Aidyn who is 19 and currently a Sophomore at UNL majoring in Ag Economics, and Justin who is a Freshman at Blue Hill. "

"My favorite lesson to teach is agriculture sales and marketing. I think salesmanship is a life lesson and skill that everyone should have, and it is something that we use every day in the real world, in every occupation.

"An interesting fact about me is that I was very active in a Judo club in college, because I enjoyed learning about self defense. "

"I believe that the kind and caring staff here at BHHS makes all the difference. We support each other, and we all want the best for our students. I think that is what makes our school great!"
