JOHN ROUSE-- ADOLF—a nineteen-year-old citizen of Leningrad. Recently done with secondary school, he is an observer and listener. He guides us through the story.
JAMI KIRCHNER-- SOLDIER—a member of the Red Army. He is aware of his rank and place in the army and tries to not let his opinion out in the presence of his battalion leader, Kombat.
TANNER LEMKE-- KOMBAT—a battalion leader in the Red Army. Directs the mission to provide food into Leningrad and evacuate citizens.
LADELLE HAZEN-- TANYA SAVICHEVA—a young girl in Leningrad. She lives with some of her family members and records their deaths during the siege. Her diary is a real
document.
