Blue Hill Schools is excited to offer a Kindergarten Round-Up, to be held Friday, February 16, 2024, at 9:30 A.M. in the Blue Hill Elementary Gym.
Children who will be five years of age on or before July 31, 2024, are eligible to attend kindergarten. Children who turn five on or after August 1, 2024, and on or before October 15, 2024, may also be considered for early entrance to kindergarten if a written request from a parent is submitted to the superintendent by April 15, 2024. Children who are kindergarten-eligible are no longer eligible for public preschool.
When you attend the Kindergarten Round-Up you can register your child for the next school year. You will need to bring your child’s birth certificate, social security number, and immunization record.
The Kindergarten Round-Up will be a time for your child to meet our kindergarten teacher.
Students will do activities in the kindergarten room while parents separately receive information and have the opportunity to ask questions about school and expectations. This will also be a good time for the teacher to assess your child’s kindergarten readiness.
We ask that younger siblings do not attend the Round-Up as this is a special day for the new kindergarten students. Activities for the morning will conclude with a free lunch for the children and the parents in the school cafeteria from 10:40 AM to 11:10 AM.
