Dear Parent/Guardian:
Our after school study program, Power Hour, will begin Tuesday, October 1, 2019. This program is offered to all 2nd-6th-grade students every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 3:30 - 4:15 p.m. We will not have Power Hour on days when school is dismissed at 2:30 p.m.
Power Hour is a program designed to provide a place for your child to get a start on, and help with, their daily homework assignments. We believe that this is an excellent opportunity for your child to get some homework completed before leaving school as well as to receive support or clarification with any aspect of homework in which he/she may be having difficulty. It also provides an opportunity to enrich your child’s education.
Elementary teachers will be running the “Power Hour” and are knowledgeable about the content being taught in the classes as well as the teacher’s expectations of particular homework and assignments.
